Strong Start in a Star-Studded Field

Dalke opened with a 69 (-3) in round one, followed by a 66 (-6) in round two — the second-lowest round of the day. Competing on a sponsor exemption against major winners and PGA Tour and LIV Golf professionals, he credited his putting as the difference-maker: critical par-saving putts from around 10 feet kept his momentum intact across both rounds.

Leaving Good Good for Family

Last week, Dalke posted a 19-minute video announcing his departure from the YouTube Golf collective Good Good. He revealed that his wife Abbie suffered an "eye stroke" last December resulting in permanent vision loss, and that subsequent tests uncovered a hole in her heart requiring surgery. His decision centers on being more present: "Life can change in the blink of an eye, and I don't want to let that pass because I was traveling." Abbie joined him in Munich this week.

A Road Back to Competition Through YouTube

A former University of Oklahoma player and 2016 U.S. Amateur runner-up, Dalke had stepped away from competitive golf after persistent swing yips. Transitioning to YouTube Golf helped him rediscover his love for the game — and his ball-striking has been strong for the past 18 months. He also holds sponsor exemptions into the PGA Tour's Rocket Classic and a Good Good-sponsored event later this year, and says he would pursue a tour card if the opportunity arose.
